About Maison Clement
French artisan boulangerie-pâtisserie founded in Cambridge in 2017 by Paris-trained baker Clément, with everything made from scratch overnight. It is best known for its croissants and viennoiserie, alongside sourdough, baguettes, tarts and quiches. It leans French, so this is a good stop for a proper baguette or a buttery croissant. Regulars tend to come back for croissants, almond croissants, baguettes and sourdough.
You will find it trading 6 days a week, adding up to roughly 58 opening hours. Early risers are in luck: the earliest opening is 7am. It also opens on Sundays, which is not a given for UK bakeries. The Food Standards Agency register lists a hygiene rating of 4/5, awarded on 21 February 2026 by Cambridge City.
The closest station, Cambridge station, is 1.2 mi away, so most visitors arrive by car, bus or bike. 4 other bakeries sit within about ten minutes' walk, which makes Newnham a good area to compare loaves and cakes. It is about 0.8 mi from the centre of Cambridge.
